Incredible 1940's suit by Omar Kiam for Ben Reig! Done in a fine wool gabardine in a rich navy blue. Jacket is exquisite with princess seaming and padded flared peplum with POCKETS. Mother of pearl buttons and uniquely designed horizonal panel that wraps around to the back. Inners buttons on the collar indicate that there was a collar that attached. Skirt is long and lean with side button and metal zipper. Jacket is fully lined and skirt is partially lined. Kiam was a Hollywood designer and created costumes for A Star Is Born, Marco Polo and Clive of India.
