I designed this coat for my young child when he was in preschool and I didn't want to send him out to play in a stiff, plastic snowsuit. Living in Colorado, high in the Rocky Mountains, it is cold in the Winter. Very cold. So, I whipped up this double layer fleece coat for him with a hood. Just to make it extra special and because he was my little "superstar" I hand painted a gold star onto each front pocket.
This little coat was seen by a buyer at a high end department store and they placed a large order for them where they retailed at $120.00/each. I worked my tail off making them! I only have a few left in 3 colors. Mulberry, Royal Blue and Forest Green.
The outer layer is made of the finest Berber Fleece. I lined it with a 300 weight Quilted Polartec fabric which is no longer produced. This coat is also totally machine washable and nearly destructible.
Only the sizes listed are still available. When they are gone, they are gone. I am not making these anymore.
